Cancellation windows and refunds

How the cancellation policy works on paid events, and exactly when refunds happen.

Setting a policy

Every paid event type has an optional cancellation window, in hours. Set it to 24 and clients can cancel free of charge until 24 hours before the start time.

Exactly what happens

Client cancels before the window: the refund is automatic and full, including all fees.

Client cancels inside the window: the payment stays with you, and the slot opens back up.

You cancel, at any time: the client is always refunded in full.

No window set: paid bookings are non-refundable when the client cancels, but you can always refund by cancelling the booking yourself.

Free events have no payment, so cancelling simply frees the slot.

No-shows

If someone pays and does not show up, the payment stays with you. You can mark the booking as a no-show in the dashboard to keep your records straight.
