How payments work

The whole money path, end to end: who charges the card, who takes what, and exactly when refunds happen.

Your Stripe account, your money

Calendary uses Stripe Connect. When you set up payments, you create (or link) your own Stripe account, and clients pay you directly on Stripe's hosted checkout page. You are the merchant of record: the charge, the customer receipt, and the payout all belong to your account, and card numbers never touch Calendary's servers.

The booking flow with a price attached

  1. Your client picks a slot and answers your intake questions.
  2. They pay on Stripe checkout. The slot is held while they do.
  3. Payment clears and the booking confirms instantly: calendar event, confirmation emails, video link when your calendar or Zoom is connected.
  4. If payment never completes, the hold expires and the slot opens back up. If two people race for the same slot, the loser is refunded automatically.

Cancellations and refunds, precisely

  • You cancel: the client is refunded in full, always, including all fees.
  • Client cancels before your cancellation window: automatic full refund.
  • Client cancels inside the window: the payment stays with you and the slot reopens.
  • No window set: client cancellations are non-refundable by default; you can always refund by cancelling the booking yourself.
  • No-shows: the payment stays with you; mark the booking as a no-show for your records.

Payouts

Stripe pays out to your bank on your Stripe account's schedule (typically daily rolling once established). Calendary never holds your funds.

Put a price on your time

Connect Stripe in Settings, add a price to an event, done. Fee math is on the pricing page.
