Connect Google or Outlook Calendar

What calendar sync does, how to connect, and what Calendary can and cannot see.

What sync does

Once connected, Calendary checks your calendar for busy times so booked slots and existing meetings never double-book, and it creates a calendar event for each new booking. With Google Calendar, bookings get a Google Meet link attached automatically.

You can toggle busy-time checking per calendar in Settings if you want Calendary to ignore existing events.

How to connect

Go to Settings, find Calendar connections, and pick Google or Outlook / Microsoft 365. You will be sent to the provider's own consent screen and straight back.

Heads up for Google: our app is going through Google's verification review. If Google blocks the connection for your account, try again after verification completes, or connect an Outlook calendar in the meantime.

Apple Calendar support exists in beta through an app-specific password. It is the least battle-tested of the three; if you rely on it, double-check the first booking lands.

What Calendary can see

Calendary reads free/busy information to protect your slots and writes the booking events it creates. It does not read event contents beyond what is needed for busy checks, and you can disconnect any time in Settings.
