Fees explained, with real numbers
Exactly who takes what on a paid booking, with a worked $100 example.
The two possible fees
1. The Calendary fee: 3% of the booking price on the Free plan, 0% on Pro and Insights.
2. Stripe processing: Stripe's standard rate (2.9% + 30 cents per US card charge) applies to every paid booking on every plan, because Stripe is doing the card processing. Stripe deducts it before payout.
Free bookings (events without a price) never involve either fee.
A $100 booking, worked out
On the Free plan: $100 minus $3.00 Calendary fee minus about $3.20 Stripe processing leaves you about $93.80.
On Pro or Insights: $100 minus $0 Calendary fee minus about $3.20 Stripe processing leaves you about $96.80.
Pro annual costs $69.99 a year, about $5.83 a month. If you take more than about $194 a month in paid bookings, Pro already costs less than the 3% fee you would pay on Free.
